Coworking

Ah VCET, the fuel on the fire for my coffee addiction…

I’ve spent my 5 years in Burlington in and out of Vermont Center For Emerging Technologies’ space on Main Street in Burlington. This place was my introduction to the greater Vermont business community outside of UVM and recently, the coffin where I lay my soul to rest at 1 a.m. after a couple of back-to-back 18-hour days of editing.

To say this space and the people who occupy it mean a lot to me would be an understatement. When the opportunity arose to collaborate on a series of new photographs for their website, social media, and newsletter, I eagerly gathered up my assortment of cameras, set up base camp in the finest conference room available, and began a day of image-making.

The scope was relatively simple. Capture new headshots of their team alongside some candid, fly-on-the-wall images of folks working in the space. A fresh perspective on the space was desired and I took that into account with how I approached the shoot, opting to use my familiar face as a fellow coworker to breakdown some barriers in terms of comfort with a camera floating around.

shot on digital as well as 120mm film.
